The terms that apply when you buy from this website.

These terms are available in English and Arabic. Both versions are equally valid. If they conflict, the Arabic version prevails for consumers in the UAE.

1. Who we are

Marine Supply (www.marinesupply.ae) is the online store of Al Safwan Marine Equipment Maintenance LLC ("Al Safwan Marine", "we", "us", "our"). We are a company registered in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.

The seller of every product on this website is Al Safwan Marine Equipment Maintenance LLC.

2. Definitions

  • "You" means the person or company buying from us.
  • "Consumer" means a person buying for their own use, not for resale or business.
  • "Products" means the goods listed on this website.
  • "Order" means a purchase you place through the website at the prices shown.
  • "Quotation request" means a request you send through the checkout when a price or delivery cost must be confirmed by us.
  • "Quotation" means our written offer in reply to a quotation request.
  • "Working day" means Monday to Saturday, except UAE public holidays.

3. These terms

These terms apply to every order and quotation made through this website. Please read them before you buy. By placing an order or accepting a quotation, you agree to them.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms reduces your rights under UAE law. This includes the Consumer Protection Law (Federal Law No. 15 of 2020) and its Executive Regulations (Cabinet Decision No. 66 of 2023).

4. Your account

  • Anyone can browse the website and use the cart.
  • To check out, you must register with your name, a UAE mobile number, an email address and a password.
  • The details you give must be true and up to date.
  • Keep your password private. You are responsible for orders placed from your account.
  • Tell us straight away if you think someone else has used your account.
  • We may suspend an account that is used for fraud or misuse.

5. Products and product information

  • We describe products as accurately as we can.
  • Photos may be representative. Colour, labelling and packaging can differ from the photo.
  • Technical specifications come from the manufacturer. Where it matters, check them against the manufacturer's datasheet before you order. We can send datasheets and certificates where the manufacturer supplies them.
  • Stock levels are updated from our stock system every 15 minutes. Stock can still sell out between updates.
  • It is your responsibility to choose products that are suitable and approved for your use, vessel or building.

6. Prices and VAT

  • All prices are in UAE dirhams (AED).
  • All prices include VAT at 5%.
  • Delivery fees are shown separately in the cart and at checkout before you confirm. See Delivery.
  • Some products show "Price on request". For these, we confirm the price in a quotation.
  • We issue a tax invoice on delivery. You can give your company name and TRN at checkout for an invoice in your company's name.
  • The price that applies is the one shown when you place the order, or the one in the quotation you accept.

7. How ordering works

7.1 Placed orders

If every item in your cart has a web price, and delivery is to an address or collection in the UAE, the checkout places an order.

  • We send you an order acknowledgement by email.
  • We call or WhatsApp you to confirm the order before dispatch.
  • The contract is formed when we confirm the order.

7.2 Quotation requests

The checkout sends a quotation request instead of an order if:

  • any item shows "Price on request";
  • you ask for delivery to a vessel or port; or
  • the order includes bulky or dangerous goods, such as CO2 cylinders or pyrotechnics.

For a quotation request:

  • We email you a quotation, usually within one working day.
  • The quotation shows the prices, the delivery cost and the total, with VAT.
  • It is valid for 14 days unless it states otherwise.
  • You accept the quotation online, in your orders. We do not accept quotations by phone.
  • The contract is formed when you accept the quotation within its validity period.
  • Nothing is delivered before you accept.

7.3 When we may decline or cancel

We may decline or cancel an order or quotation before dispatch, for example if:

  • the product is out of stock or no longer available;
  • there is an obvious error in the price or description;
  • we cannot deliver to the address given; or
  • we suspect fraud or misuse.

If we do, we tell you and refund in full any amount you have paid.

8. Payment

We accept two payment methods. We do not accept card payments online.

  • Cash on delivery: you pay the driver in cash when the order arrives, or when you collect it. We accept cash only.
  • Bank transfer: we email our bank details with the order confirmation. We dispatch the order once the funds reach our account. Please quote your order number as the reference.

9. Delivery

  • We deliver within the UAE only, from our warehouse in Sharjah.
  • Delivery is free on orders of AED 1,000 or more, VAT included. Below that, a flat fee applies for each emirate.
  • You can collect your order free of charge from our warehouse.
  • Delivery times are estimates. They start after we confirm the order.
  • You, or someone you nominate, must be present to receive and pay for the order.

10. Risk and ownership

  • Risk of loss or damage passes to you on delivery, or when you collect the goods.
  • Ownership passes to you when we receive full payment.

11. Checking your goods

Please check the goods when they arrive. Report visible damage or missing items to the driver. If you notice them later, tell us within 48 hours of delivery by email or WhatsApp. This does not affect your rights for hidden defects found later.

12. Cancellations and returns

  • You can cancel free of charge before dispatch. Quotation requests, quotations and placed orders can be cancelled online in your account. Otherwise, call us.
  • You can return unused items in their original, unopened packaging within 7 days of delivery.
  • Some items cannot be returned unless they are defective, such as items cut or assembled to order.
  • We collect defective or wrong items at our cost and replace or refund them, as you choose.

13. Warranty

  • Products carry the manufacturer's warranty where the manufacturer gives one. We will help you make a claim.
  • The warranty does not cover damage from misuse, wrong installation, lack of maintenance or normal wear.
  • Consumers also have the warranty and other rights given by UAE consumer protection law. These terms do not limit them.

14. Using the products safely

  • Many of our products are safety equipment. This includes SOLAS life-saving appliances, fire-fighting equipment and UAE Civil Defence equipment.
  • Such equipment must be installed, inspected and maintained by competent persons, following the manufacturer's instructions and the applicable rules.
  • Some items need approval from a classification society, flag state or Civil Defence before use. You are responsible for getting it.
  • Gas detectors and sensors must be calibrated and tested as the manufacturer specifies.
  • Handle dangerous goods, such as pressurised cylinders and pyrotechnics, according to their safety data and the law.

15. Our liability

This section applies only to the extent UAE law allows. Nothing in it limits the rights of consumers under UAE law, or our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

  • We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms.
  • For business customers, our total liability for an order is limited to the price paid for that order.
  • We are not liable for indirect loss, such as loss of profit, loss of business or vessel downtime.
  • We are not liable for loss caused by wrong selection, installation, use or maintenance of products by you or others.
  • We are not liable for delays caused by events outside our control, such as severe weather, road closures or government action. We will tell you and do what we reasonably can.

16. Export

We sell for delivery in the UAE only. If you plan to export a product, you are responsible for any export licences, permits and rules that apply.

17. Your personal data

We use your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. We send marketing emails only if you opt in, and you can stop them at any time.

18. Complaints

  1. Contact us first by email at info@alsafwanmarine.com or by WhatsApp on +971 55 659 9860. Include your order number.
  2. We reply within 2 working days and aim to resolve the matter as quickly as we can.
  3. If you are a consumer and not satisfied with our answer, you can also contact the consumer protection department of the UAE Ministry of Economy.

19. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. The terms that apply to your purchase are those in force when you placed the order or accepted the quotation.

20. Governing law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Sharjah. The courts of Sharjah have jurisdiction over any dispute. This does not remove any right a consumer has under UAE law to bring a claim elsewhere.

21. Other terms

  • If a court finds part of these terms invalid, the rest stays in force.
  • If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
  • These terms, your order confirmation or accepted quotation, and our tax invoice form the whole agreement between us.
